My Password is like my WHAT?

Passwords.
I have a love/hate relationship with them. Tho I know their value as it relates to my privacy, I have a hard time remembering all the dang passwords for all the technology in my life.
I keep most of them in a dayplanner I own. That's as organized as I am right now. I should have them tatoo-ed on my body somewhere because I have a mild freak-out when I go online to someplace a I haven't been in awhile and have to remember what the stinkin' password is...and I can't find it in my little book. Some are easy to recover...click that little "Can't Remember Password?" button and they'll send you another.
Others are not that easy. EBAY is ridiculous. Ugh. I clicked on their help button--they asked me the SECRET Question...my mother's maiden name--and told me it was incorrect. I'm thinkin' I KNOW MY MOM'S Maiden-freakin' name here--then, I questioned myself and think deeply...is it indeed what I think it is? Yes! it is!

Ugh. So I don't know what to do. When I get the energy up, I may go back in and try again.
But seriously, Passwords are taking over my brain.
I have Passwords for:

The Kids' School District web-site AND their Classes.
My online bank
The ATM
Blogger
MySpace
Twitter
Facebook
Restaurants.com
Coupon Cool Savings
PayPal
Snapfish
Walmart.com
Costco.com
Light-Refreshments Served
my Insurance.com
Scentsy.com
AT&T.com
Qwest.com
Amazon.com
My medical and dental plan.com

I'm too old to have all these passwords in my noggin.
Remember when a Password was a TV game show? I'm old enough to remember that. Betty White was always on it, cuz her husband was the Host...man, can't remember his name. anyone? There's gotta be a better way.
P.S. The winners of my crafty-giveaway...keep your eyes on your mailbox.

  1. I remember the Password board game, too. 'Cept I don't think there was a board involved. And wasn't Betty White's dh Alan Arkin?

  2. I can so relate! I hate having so many passwords. I wish I could use the same one for everything but some require a number others so many letters etc. The worst is when you have to remember the question you wrote in order for them to help you. How am I supposed to remember what the question was if I can't even remember a passWORD.??

  3. I have a few passwords I use and am always mixing them up and having trouble remembering which one goes where. I agree that it is totally frustrating! And even when they supposedly email you the password it doesn't always work.

I loved your mention of you not being able to answer your own secret question to their satisfaction. heehee

    =)
