Friends in High Places

Here are some of the many many pics I took while in Utah...for your veiwing pleasure:
The Great Salt Lake. It's a huge Lake. And it's Great. And full of salt.
Some random plaque by the GSL....anybody know this guy?

Okay, first you need to know it was 108 stinkin' degrees on this day. That's why we all look so fabulous. just sayin.
These are 5 of the finest women in the world. And I call them my friends. My sisters.
Facts:
*4 of the 5 of us are converts to the church.
*4 of the 5 of us have been Relief Society Presidents.
*2 of the 5 of us have been Seminary teachers.
*Nearly all of us have been each other's Visiting Teacher at some point.
*2 of the 5 of us are cancer survivors.
*together we have 23 children.
*None of us would claim to be perfect, but we would all tell you we love the Saviour and try our best to serve Him.

Dodee and Stacey...she couldn't make it to Cafe Rio the first day...but we stayed up till 2:30AM catching up! She too is a convert to the LDS Church and a first class lady. I love them both.

Dodee lives just below the Bountiful Temple, so we hopped up there one evening at dusk to catch the sunset and took these.

Looking West to the GSL.

Oh here we are again at the Great Salt Lake. Apparently, it's great. From here we headed over to Tooele...it's not great, fyi, but it's okay.

  1. Wow, wouldn't it be neat to have a view of the temple like that?!

Your sisters not only look great, they look like lots of fun. I love pictures when I can get all of my sibs together. You must have had a ball!

View of Great Salt Lake at night are gorgeous, too. Nice job on the pics! Thanks for sharing, too. It's like a little mini vacation to look at them.

  3. My sister lives just south of the Bountiful Temple! I always look for it when I fly to SLC. It's kind of my personal landmark and I always wave goodbye when I leave. Sounds like you had fun,

  4. I love the Bountiful Temple, it is where my first born and first married, Sissy, was wed to her beloved. My father who is a sealer was also the one that sealed them together as a family. I am so grateful for that. He has sealed all of his grandchildren to their spouses. It is an amazing thing.
