17 Days of Thanksgiving

I love the Young Women's program in the Church.

As a new convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,
it was my Young Women's leaders that took me by the hand
and taught me how to live the Gospel.

As I have grown and learned,
I too,
have had opportunities to teach and serve
in the Young Women's organization.
How I love those young women whom I served.
They often taught me so much,
as I spent time with them.

My own daughters have had remarkable Young Women leaders
over the years.
Those that have reached out and invested their hearts in my girls.
I love those women for loving my daughters.
So today, I'm thankful for the Young Women's Program.
Sunday, Daisie invited her good friend Chelsa over to the house
and they worked on two of the Virtue projects.
Do you know how neat it is to know that there are still
people in the world that not only VALUE Virtue,
but teach youth HOW to value it as well?
It is amazing.

Here is a just s snippet of the Young Women's Broadcast.

  1. This is where I get bitter. For the last 5 years, we have lived in a branch. In the middle of the Salt Lake Valley. (Long story.) Which means we have no YW/YM program. And I miss it.

I work with crazy drug addict kids all day. I forget that there are normal, wonderful teenagers out there, who love and care about their relationship with God.

  2. What a nice video. I hadn't seen it before.

I've worked in YW for most of my life, and I love it, too.

    =)

  3. I love YWs!!! I did as a girl, I do now as a counselor. My life has been so blessed because of the YWs program. I feel like I'm supposed to be teaching my girls, but they keep teaching me.

  4. I love the broadcast! That is the best part about having teenage girls. I can pretend that it is all for them, but really, it still amazes ME!
