So Long Ben & Jerry..it's been Delish!

It seems everyone
EVERYONE
EVERYONE
wants to put their
hat into the
political ring
these days.

Actors
Musicians
and now
the
Ice Cream Man.

Have you heard?
For the month of September
THE WHOLE MONTH
(talk about commitment to a cause!)
Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream
has renamed their
"CHUBBY HUBBY"
flavored ice-cream--
No kidding!
In support of
Same-Sex Marriage
to
"HUBBY-HUBBY".

http://www.benjerry.com/hubbyhubby/

They want to show
their support
OUTLOUD
by re-naming
an
Ice Cream.

Wow.
I was not prepared for this...
seriously?

Who knew the Ice Cream Man
had such strong opinions?

I don't want to know
what the Ice Cream Man
thinks about
Politics.
Remember when
the Ice Cream Man
was about
Fudge-sicles
Orange Dreams
Bomb Pops
and Screwballs...
ha!
guess it still about
Screwballs
cuz they aren't
in their right minds.

And I for one
ain't buying it.
I gotta ask,
What about you??

  1. Not surprising to me at all. Ben & Jerry have been big time supporters of every liberal agenda since they made it big in the ice cream business...that's why we eat the store brand or what's on sale ( Ben & Jerry's never is anyway )I'm not about to finance liberal causes when I buy ice cream or anything else.

I really get hot under the collar when anyone starts pushing lifestyle choices on something as family values friendly as ice cream !

  2. WOW....Im not really sure what to say about this!! IM thinking it would of been best to just leave the name as it was and leave your opinion about certain things out of the ice cream business!!!

  3. Like Lynn, this does not surprise me much. They've been as liberal as it gets since the inception of their company. But you're right, "Hubby Hubby" is way over the top.

    Waaaay over.

  4. Ha! Ha! I like your post about this. I'm not a big ice cream fan, and certainly don't buy pricey gourmet stuff, but if I did, I would definitely skip the Hubby Hubby and probably skip B&J altogether.

  6. My first thoughts-"oh for heaven sakes!" I can't believe that the ice cream man would get involved with politics. It seems that we are truly living in the last days. I fear for my grandchildren. It seems the line between good and evil is becoming wider and wider. Hmmm, it seems like I have read something like this in the Book of MOrmon!

  7. When my husband heard this bit of information the other day he put in his 2 cents worth and replied "Well, I will not be buying any more of that stuff." Mind you this man can eat his weight in ice cream (and doesn't even gain any weight, I on the other hand can have a tsp. and it will show on the scales the next day, go figure)
I agree with "thoughts by Dena", lets have a seperation of food and politics. Give me a break
