See those smiles? That's what happiness looks like. Right there.
Yesterday Dani came down and we took the family to the Crags @ Pikes Peak.
The Caboose and her walking stick...which she mostly dragged along while she hopped, skipped and jumped her way up the mountainside.
Boofus sittin' "gollum-style" on a ledge...eatin' lunch and watching:
Who swooped down for Chip crumbs...
Even eating some out of Dani, Mr. W's and Daisie's hands...
Wild birds aren't afraid of humans....who knew?
So I placed a bread crumb on Daisie's noggin...just to see if a bird would get it...
yup--it just made a few swoops over head, before finally grabbing it --and before I could click the camera! Daisie, you're a good sport!
The mountain formation we affectionately call "DUM DUM"...as in, "when we get to Dum Dum can we eat lunch there and rock climb? hunh? can we? can we?" (Name the movie we got the Dum Dum from!)
In front of DumDum...Daise, Dani, Mr W, Caboose, Boofus and Kota, the wonder dog who ran all over the mountain and slept all the way home! Dani's 'bout 6 1/2 mos. pregnant and she did a great 3 mile hike! Way to go Dani!
Foliage along the way...Fall is comin'!A great hike, and I only sucked wind for the first 45 minutes, then my lungs felt great and cleaned out! I'm anxious to hit the Santa Fe trail again with the dog this week!!
What'd you do over the Labor Day weekend?
Looks like great fun!!!! I love our visits to Colorado...its so pretty in the mountains!!!! And as always your family looks so happy!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like you had one of those perfect days with the family. And the scenery is amazing, too.
ReplyDeleteYou probably know that our family had a reunion over the weekend. It was everything we'd hoped it would be, which makes me particularly glad because I was in charge of it!
=)
What great pictures!! And how wonderful to spend the day at the temple. You are all such great missionaries.
ReplyDeleteAs for how we spent our weekend . . . Go BYU!!! :-)
We spent Labor day picking huckleberries. Go check out my post and see what I made with them.
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures from your weekend hike. Mr. W's picture is great, being with his family, and hiking, his two favorite things.
