And you keep them boxed up for-ev-er...
Keep all of them put way up high. In their original boxes. For years!
Then, your 14 year old puts them in your 8 year olds room while she's at a sleepover, thinking she'll surprise her little sister by letting her display them in her room.

Voila! that's how you throw money right down the drain. In the trash. Out the window. Up in smoke. Down in flames. See how easy that was?
Oh. My. Goodness!
ReplyDeleteOh Momza, I'm so sorry about Barbie! Although I'm sure Barbie is glad she was finally able to escape her boxes..... Are you feeling better.... hope so! Love ya
ReplyDeletebwahahahaha! sorry, :-(
ReplyDelete**hee-hee* :-)
Momza,
we've been collecting/hoarding
all sorts of things our entire lives
(more on this someother time)
and we've tried
to keep a lot of it like new
(in original packaging)
so as to increase price appreciation.
then,
a few years back,
an incident forced us to confront
our own mortality.
and we realized that what we REALLY wanted
was to have these things.
and we decided that we should display
those items which we knew that
we'd likely never really part with,
before we die.
so far,
so good,
we've enjoyed looking at, and showing off,
our collections,
and have no regrets.
also,
we began to sell off those items
that were intended as investments,
and have turned a decent penny.
cautiion, alot of the stuff
that we thought were priceless
turned out to be albatrosses
(nobody really wants them).
sorry if we seem to be giving advise,
we don't intend to.
just sharing an experience.
however,
if we DID learn anything
it was this:
life is WAY too short,
and if anything is worth having,
it SHOULD be worth enjoying.
please excuse the rant.
btw,
the Barbies are gorgeous!
kudos.
..
.ero
Uh-oh.
