Wow! That is hecka-valot (yes that's a word just ask any Utahan -ha ha) of H2O!! I love all the pictures of the kids making the most of it!! I am sure it felt good in the middle of August :-D
I thought that only the dried up crusty Southern Utahns were this excited about rain!!! We lived in Seattle for a few years - I wasn't nearly as thrilled as the kids to relive that experience.
@Naomi: It sure added some excitement to our day!! @sarah: Is there a cure for us?? LOL @T: My yahoos are weird...as you can see. @Stacy: Yeah, that was a first for us too, but he's a boy and that seemed completely natural to him. Of course, totally grossed me out and made him take a really good shower after. @Cherie: We have these storms nearly every day around the same time and it cools us off so nicely! love it!
The only thing missing was you in the pictures! And is that really a sprinkler on in the background of a couple of your pictures? No wonder it is always so green whenever I come to C.S. These pics are so frame worthy! Roxanne
Last time it rained here, I felt like doing what you all did...so fun...it was so hot that the water just disappeared into the ground and became vapor in the air...no puddles to splash in at all !
@Lori/Joy: Thanks! Nothin' like a summer rain storm! The oldest girls actually got the wild hair to run outside and play in it. I made the youngest wait until it was just drizzling and the thunder had mostly stopped. @Charlotte: Next time. Do it. @Tauna: You know, I thought about that--what must the neighbors be thinking?? Bah! They shoulda come out and joined us! @Moody: HA! It was that and ridiculous too! @Nonna: Hmmm maybe we gotta get while the gettins good! @Kazzy: Kids brighten my life! @Carissa: No kidding! The water was freezing cold! @Sue: It's just me. The only me I have. lol @RBS: Yes! The neighbor did have their sprinklers on! funniest thing, hunh? And I was missing, because I had the camera! Next time!

I loved this...And hearing your voice was fun, too!

ReplyDeleteOh my heck! That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI think the neighbors might be a bit concerned.
LOL.
I've missed playing in the rain. It almost always comes with thunder here and so I'm reluctant to play in it. This post was very nostalgic to me.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are great!! It looks like they were all having so much fun.
