The one where I discover "Morphine"

Did you know that when you walk into the ER
and say
"I have shooting pains down my left arm."--
you get right in?

Yeah you do.

And you can scare the beans outta the Catscan tech
when you can't move your body or talk
right after being given
"morphine".

'tis true.

And did you know that if one of your children
calls his oldest sister
who lives far away
and tells her
"Mom's in the hospital but I don't know why."--
can trigger lots of emotions
and lost sleep for that sister?

Yep.
Good times here on this side of the Rockies.

  1. I am an EMT and I did know all of that!! Hopefully you are feeling better now and they discovered what is wrong! Hopefully it is something that is easily fixed and gone. Hopefully you know how much your family loves you, needs you, and wants you to be ok!!! Heartfelt prayers coming your way.

  9. WHAT?!?!? I mean, I knew the thing about the arm pain thing (hubs has had to wait through kidney stone pain while arm pain people -also head injury people- get rushed ahead of him-not fun). But...are you okay? Please update as soon as you can!

  11. Yes I did know that! If you say chest pain that is an immediate ticket to aspirin and a little morphine and maybe some nitro and maybe a little more morphine.....poor CT tech probably totally freaked.

Hope you are better. Hugs and loves.

  12. looking forward to the follow up that says you are doing wonderfully and it was just a little angina or esophageal spasm(not that I know what that means... but I think that's what they told ManOfTheHouse when he spent a few hours in the ER for chest pain a few months ago...)

    scared the pants off me.
