Thinking of Spring

The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring.
~Bern Williams

If we had no winter,
the spring would not be so pleasant;
if we did not sometimes taste of adversity,
prosperity would not be so welcome.
~Anne Bradstreet

No matter how long the winter,
spring is sure to follow.
~Proverb

It's spring fever.
That is what the name of it is.
And when you've got it, you want -
oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want,
but it just fairly makes your heart ache,
you want it so!
~Mark Twain

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.
~Charles Dickens

Consider the lilies how they grow:
they toil not,
they spin not;
and yet I say unto you,
that Solomon in all his glory
was not arrayed like one of these.
~Luke 12:27

  1. But then 1 day after the 7 inches of snow? 60 degrees again. This schizophrenic winter has been so confusing.

  3. I am soooo ready for some consistent spring... although, we've been getting way too much rain and lots of flooding in the area. I'm ready for SUNSHINE!

  4. Great quotes and great pictures. I wish we had more of a winter here so we could enjoy the blessing of spring more. Instead we just have one day that is warmer, and then suddenly it is hot.

    I especially loved the pictures of the flowers because those are the exact flowers and colors my daughter wants for her wedding reception (no she isn't engaged yet, but is working on it:-)

  6. You are being so optomistic. Those photo's make me anxious for color and warmth.
