Conference Weekend!

Conference is coming up this weekend.
I'm most anticipating what Elder Uchtdorff and
Elder Bednar are going to share with us...
and of course,
I know I'll have a good cry with
Elder Eyring as always.

And crepes.
Conference Saturday is always about crepes.

What about your Conference weekend--
what's your favorites?

  1. Fall Conference weekend means a drive up the mountains to the family cabin where nothing can distract us from our conference concentration. Too many friends and things around the house! I'm SO looking forward to it!

  2. You just named my three favorite speakers, and of course, I always look forward to hearing the prophet.

My favorite part is that I get to curl up in my favorite chair with a blanket, a notebook, and a pen to write down every single thing I want and need to remember. I love hearing the stories and thoughts that come as answers to my prayers.

  3. Jeffrey R. Holland has been delivering the most powerful, incredible talks lately. He's always been a wonderful speaker, but the last two conferences he's really stepped it up a notch to the level of Biblical! I mean, powerful, powerful sermons. I can't wait to hear what he has to say this weekend.

I need me a good Conference tradition. Maybe 'Rhodes Bake N Serve' cinnamon rolls for now. Maybe we BUILD to crepes! ;)

  4. I always do crepes on Christmas eve! Love 'em!

We watch in our pjs. Also, since I have a daughter (in-law) now, we are trying to plan something fun for Saturday night.

  5. I used to say that conference was about survival...with 4 little ones. Last few conferences have been quite nice. Youngest is now 6. I look forward to Jeffrey R. Holland too. I am jealous of all the people who get to stay home and watch in their jammies. We have to go to the ward building and sit in the pews for hours on end...oh well it's worth it!

  7. Elder Eyring has always been my favorite. I met him once when I worked at the MTC. Usually I do a lot of cooking over conference weekend because if I hold still in front of the TV for that many hours I can guarantee that I will fall asleep.

  8. I was thinking of making cinnamon rolls for the weekend, but crepes sound really good too.

I love getting my notebook and scriptures out and sitting by my husband.

    Love conference weekend!

  9. Ooh-conference weekend is my favorite! Everything STOPS. We take pause and drink in the pure revelation from our leaders. Plus we always have Sunday brunch with the whole family just prior to the Sunday morning session. This can include coffee cake, various egg dishes, potato dishes, fruit and milk. I usually have to record the session because we often don't get to hear much as the little kids are running around. But it's still a favorite! We are introducing my new daughter-in-law to the family tradition.....My favorite is always the Sat. morning session. Don't know why.
