The Caboose's Christmas List

So, you gotta go look at how we celebrate Christmas in our house
before this will make sense to you--
so go to this post first.

It's okay,
I'll wait.

My desk is a mess.
I wish someone else had to clean it.

Okay, back?

So without further fuss,
here's my youngest's list:

As you can see,
her GOLD list also doubles for her Santa list--
Nintendo DS
American Girl doll
Nentendo games  (cuz, hey, what good's a system without games?!)

And if you skip over to her Santa List,
you'll see the same three items mixed in there too--
I think she's trying to cover all her bases, yeah?

Barbies ( like we need one more nekkid blonde in the basement)
Netendo (excitement trumped spelling today)
American Girl doll (specifically Josefina, please)
Wii (I've looked at how expensive these are, and would love to know how to get one cheaper!)
Wii games (of course)
$100.00  (she thinks she a Rockefeller--I'm going to have to break the news to her someday)
Build a Bear (she collects those)
socks (yes!)
a letter from Santa (she's trying to prove to Joseph that Santa is real)
New Tree  (I have to explain--our 9' artificial tree's lights are as unpredictable as a 15 year old girl--
sometimes they all work when we plug 'em in, sometimes they turn off 15 minutes later, and sometimes half work and half don't. The Boofus put this on his list too, however, when I explained that a new tree will cost close to $200, he scribbled that off.)

So here's what I see--
She will as happy with an expensive doll, game system, $100 as she would be with socks.
Tempting. O so tempting. lol

Nana says I should just get the socks and a letter from Santa telling the Caboose she isn't a Rockefeller.

P.S. For those who do not know, you may have noticed on her Myrhh list a CTR ring and necklace--in the LDS Church CTR is an acronym for Choose The Right.  It's to remind our youth (and our big people selves) to, well, make good choices.

*If You'd like to take a TOUR of Christmas Trees...go over to to Thrifty Decor Chick's place. She's having a Christmas Party!

P.P.S. I spoke to soon when I said all the yahoos are healthy this week--the Caboose is home sick today. Wahh.

  1. I like this... especially the list breakdown... ours have to fill out a form letter to Santa every year, but they've gotten snarky (hmmm... don't know where they get THAT from) and "when I sit down to read it would be nice to have _____" gets filled in with "popcorn", "Peace and quiet", and "a big cozy chair" more often than the title of an actual book... groan!

  4. That's a really good idea-to make lists in the different categories!

So, how about stick $100 INSIDE the socks? You could make it Monopoly money...

And wait until after Christmas to find a tree-they go on major sale!
